The unit of measure in stands for inches. The in (inches) unit in CSS can be used as a standard unit in setting the size for HTML elements, be it font size, length (width), height (height) and others. Actually the W3C (WWW Consortium) does not really recommend this size in setting up web pages, but recommends this size only for the process of printing documents on printers such as printers.
The value depends on the size of the PPI resolution. Conversion is based on the default PPI size of 96 PPI, but can be changed.
The font size can be set to in (inches). However, the value of 1in is very large, which is equivalent to 96px, while the normal font on a standard web page is 16px. If the size is in units, to get letters with normal size, you can use a font size of 0.2in.
